Antique Vintage Bride's Basket. 1901-1957 Heisey Glass Amber Glass Starburst Paneled Edge Bowl with Royal Rochester 1620 Silver Repousse Pierced Handled Stand. This is a stunning set. Silver plate handled basket was made by Robeson Rochester under their trade name of Royal Rochester 1800-1900s and marked on bottom "Royal Rochester 1620". These Bride's Baskets were extremely popular in the 1880s as a luxury gift for a bride and served other purposes like holding flower petals scattered by flower girl. The glass bowl is perfect and marked in the center "H inside a Diamond”. Used by Heisey Glass in early glass and later years it disappeared. In very good condition. Stand has gentle scuffs and soft scratches on the silver basket, handle has dulled and is a bit out of sorts. Original bowl, not a marriage, sits perfectly in the basket. Together the stand bowl measure 4 1/2" T x 6 3/4" dia. handle to handle x 6" dia. Bowl is 1/34" T x 6" dia x 3 3/4" dia at base. Total weight 13 oz.
