About the artist: Born in southern India in 1941. Lived and worked in Corbeil-Essonnes until his death in 1999. Reginald Pavamani studied at the College of Art in New Delhi before winning a scholarship from the French government take to Paris to continue his studies at the École Supérieure d'Arts Paris Graphiques. It was during his stay in France Pavamani began exploring notions of emigrants and soul searching at home and away. Eventually settled in France, but continued to exhibit in group and solo exhibitions at the home of his birth, his adopted home and beyond.
