Mid Century Glass & Sivlerplated Pitcher

1950’s Hand Blown (you can see the air bubbles) and Hand Carved Glass Pitcher with mid century modern large silver plated handle and top hardware for pouring and filtering a beverage (like ice tea, punch, water). Stamped “Silverplated, Made in Western Germany.” The glass indented carving is of grapes and leaves, again, in a modern 1950’s look design. This was made for Suburban Americans who just bought their first house and were excited to entertain in the back yard or inside at a home mini bar in the basement. 10.5” tall, 7.5” diameter at bottom and 4” diameter at top. Excellent condition. Pristine for a 70 year old antique. Weighs about 3.75 lbs. The silver has an aged patina that is desirable to some collectors and would come off easily with silver polish if you want to change it into a shiny new looking pitcher.
