These books are all about preparing kids for war. It is amazing to read these books and see what they are instilling and preparing these kids to do and to give them the right frame of mind to be ready for war. Not only were they wanting them to get ready for where they were actually used during World War I to be flag waivers to ships coming in to send messages, to run errands, and prepare to join the ranks as soon as they were able. They also actually help injured soldiers and understaffed medical areas because as you know boy scouts are well known for their first aid skills. It was a different time and place.
One of the books is in mint condition and the other one is also in mint condition other than a scratch on the front of the book.
I have several other books if you're trying to complete your collection let me know what you're looking for. World War One began in 1914. The scouts only started in 1909 and that's 2 years before the first book in this collection was produced.
