Antique Chinese Republic Large Vase

Large Chinese vase. 13.5 inches tall 5 inches wide. This vase was made into a lamp long ago in the 20s to 30s. The red ovoid seal mark on the back is from a known Republic maker that had many vases turned into lamps. Table lamps were in short supply in those days. The orange and black bat border was used on vases from later in the 19th Century into the Republic period. The enamel figural area has mild loss but over all still looks nice. The break at the mouth is clean and would not be too hard to restore if you wanted to. A bit of old glue around the inner mouth area also easy to remove for a restorer. Hydrogen Peroxide might even clean that up. 2 lbs 6 ounces.
